Terms of Service

Welcome to StepAhead Driving School. By enrolling in our driving courses, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. 

Please read these terms carefully before using our services. You may not participate in our driving school programs if you disagree with these terms.

Privacy Policy

StepAhead Driving School collects personal information to deliver services and communicate with students. 

All personal information will be kept confidential. No information will be shared with any third party except DVLA and where required by law.

Enrollment and Payment

We accept payment via Master, VISA, debit cards, mobile money (MoMo), and cash.

Late fee payment will discontinue the lesson for the selected package until payment is made. 

Fees paid are non-refundable.

Applicants who do not pay in full will not participate in the DVLA test. 

Not all packages are labelled as DVLA packages are labelled.

Lesson Scheduling

Maximum of 10 students per theory session.

Class is scheduled based on instructor availability, and student availability and preference

Students must provide at least an hour’s notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson via the WhatsApp messenger group page.

If you miss lessons without prior notice to the school’s admin, it will be assumed you will not be present for subsequent lessons you will not be booked for lessons until you confirm your availability on the group page you are in. 

Theory lessons will be conducted on-site (classroom) or via Microsoft Teams/online. 

The school cannot guarantee the same instructor for all lessons unless pre-arranged

The school reserves the right to reschedule a lesson (classroom and in-traffic) in the event of extreme weather, unavailability of the instructor, or any other factor beyond the school’s control.

Student Requirements

Students must hold a valid Ecowas card, learner’s permit, or provisional driver’s license for the duration of the course.

Students must be physically and mentally fit to operate a vehicle and must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol during lessons.

Appropriate buckled footwear must be worn during lessons to ensure safe vehicle operation, no slippers allowed. 

It is the responsibility of the student to ensure they meet all legal requirements to undertake driving lessons.

Student Conduct

Students are to behave respectfully and professionally towards instructors, staff, and colleagues.

A student will not partake in classroom and in-car instruction for:

Lateness, Students arrive 10 minutes after a class has begun without informing the school.

Drunkenness or consumption of alcohol on the premises.

Rude, vulgar, or disruptive behaviour in the classroom or car.

Smoking in the classroom or car.

Being generally inattentive (sleeping, use of phone, etc.) during class hours.

School's Responsibility

The school shall provide qualified instructors with the appropriate licenses to teach driving.

All training vehicles provided by the school will be fully insured and maintained in roadworthy condition.

The school is committed to maintaining high standards of safety and instruction.

The school is prohibited from issuing a certificate of completion if the student has not met all of the course completion requirements.

Test Preparations and Responsibilities

The school does not guarantee that students will pass their driving test. Lessons are provided to prepare students as much as possible.

It is the student’s responsibility to book their driving test and ensure that they meet all local driving test requirements.

The school will assist with test bookings if requested but does not guarantee availability or specific dates.

Applicants are to pick up their temporary driver’s license and license card from the DVLA brunch that served them.

Changes To Terms and Conditions

The school reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website or notifying students via email.

Continued participation in the course after changes have been made indicates your acceptance of the revised terms.
